Deigma System for Nautical Electric Propulsion
Let's Set up the Parts for the Electric Propulsion of your Boat
Electric Propulsion Motor
The Deigma system offers a wide range of highly efficient motors with peak power from 3.5 to 27 kw, with air or liquid cooling – all supplied motors are equipped with a specific waterproof housing
.
.
Electronic Control Unit
It is the main control component of the system, allowing the optimization of engine power delivery by interfacing with the battery management system to minimize energy waste and, during charging, to minimize the imbalance between the battery cells and their heating
Primary Battery Pack
High performance lithium battery.
Faster balancing speed, quick recharge, remote control and reporting of malfunctions to prevent critical problems
.
.
Throttle for Speed Control
It is the main user interface of the system and it is used to control the power delivered to the engine

Dashboard Display
Through a 4-inch screen you can have real-time information on the status of the system:
• Battery level
• Time range calculated on current consumption
• Number of engine RPM
• Engine temperature
• Power reduction to reach limit temperatures
• Required power level measured as a percentage
Battery Charger
This element, which communicates directly with the electronic control unit, makes it possible to optimize the charging phase of the battery by calibrating the balance between the cells and controlling any temperature variations

Low Voltage Auxiliary System for Services
The great majority of the accessories installed in the boats work to the voltage of 12-24v, therefore it becomes necessary to create a small plant dedicated to the services.
The service plant consists of:
• Voltage converter
• Sealed battery AGM
• Battery Balancer for multiple batteries
• Battery charger
Solar Panels
These elements help to maintain the charge of the primary batteries.
They are useful when the boat is moored for long periods

Cooling System Control
For boats equipped with an engine cooling system, it is possible to request the installation of a contact inside the electrical box that is managed directly by the controller.
By detecting the temperature of the engine, the controller manages the operation of the pump and keeps the engine at its ideal temperature

OPTIMIZED CONNECTIONS
The main electronic components are interfaced through a single support of CANbus communication, a digital protocol that is based on messages and not on the individual nodes that make up the system, this allows to achieve reduced weight and costs, ease of installation and a higher level of security thanks to an integrated error handling process.
In addition, the CANbus protocol allows new electronic devices to be added and integrated without specific programming, ensuring maximum flexibility and configurability to the Deigma System.
